Architect and founding partner Jannie Vinke was born on the island of Texel. Before she went to study Architecture in Delft, she studied Psychology in Groningen. Jannie has also retained this interest in the human aspect of architecture: what can architecture mean to the user? Her graduation project was entitled ‘De Troostloods’ (The Comfort Warehouse), a residential and recreational building on the Belgian coast. In 1997, Jannie founded ANA architects together with Marcel van der Lubbe. She steers projects and the team. In doing so, she can put her affinity with research into target groups and typologies, as well as the interface between architecture and urban design, to use. Jannie is active as guest lecturer at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture and Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). In her free time, she swims and likes to sing.
